Student Advising
  • Free Education advising: Please contact the U.S. Embassy’s EducationUSA advisor. For local students in Morocco, that would be at [email protected]. They offer informational sessions and advising, free of charge, and are open to any Moroccan interested in pursuing any degree in the United States. Their offices are in Rabat, and advising can potentially be done by Skype.
  • In-Depth Fee=Based College and Career Planning: I also offer in-depth follow up advising, but it is for a fee, and I encourage students to work with EducationUSA first, if possible. The first consultation call to establish your interests is free. Please contact me for more information.

Picking a College
  • Feel free to work with an advisor for this, but as a starting point, look at BigFuture's website.
  • Community Colleges that invite international students are numerous. (Community colleges are 2-year colleges, and you can enter them at any stage after high school. Then you can earn a 2-year Associate's degree, and then often you can transfer into a 4-year university to complete a Bachelor's degree in approximately 2 more years. These colleges are safe schools to apply to, typically, if you can find the financing. Financing community college with scholarships can be more challenging than higher levels of education). Here are just a couple of community colleges that are known for welcoming international students.
    • Houston Community College
    • Green River College
